3 Reasons To Wake Up Early Every Day
Aug 07, 2023by Phil Kaplan
Here we go . . .
- If you can get outside and catch the sunrise, there’s immense benefit to catching the visible and invisible rays the sun radiates upon its ascension. Diaphragmatic breaths in the red light of the morning sun can better oxygenate virtually every aerobic system in your body (Read the recent article on Red Light to better understand its power).
- If you opt to exercise, even for 5 – 7 minutes, before your brain remembers to replay the past and upcoming stressors, there’s an immense boost to metabolic function. If you break out of “sleep inertia” (a state where you’re conscious but not yet fully alert) with some dynamic movement (lunges, jumping jacks, rebounder bounces, or meridian tapping) you increase blood flow, lymphatic activity, and because you haven’t yet eaten, fat is more likely to be mobilized than later in the day. As if that isn’t reason enough, your testosterone and GH response will be most responsive in the early morning “just waking” state.
- Plain and simple, it gives you more time. Time to exercise, meditate, review the day’s plan, and experience a sense of power before the day decides to run you.
If you are reading this late in the evening get thee to bed! And wake up at 5 or 6, just for the reasons I shared above. Later in the afternoon let me know how you feel.
Or better yet, try it for a week. Then let me know.
